Strength, dynamic movement and stability are vital for healthy living.

Carmen has been involved with mindful movement for over 20 years, being heavily invested in both yoga and pilates practices. Her love of movement started at a young age being involved with many athletic endeavours and adventures. She began practicing yoga seriously 20 years ago and since has trained with many world renowned instructors and herself taught in the UK and here in Canada.

It was not until she had children that she discovered and became entrenched in the learnings of pilates. She relished the way it made her body feel , assisting to relieve many aches and pains, gain greater stability, and it mindful movements. She is a Fully Certified STOTT pilates instructor, and embraces the multiple exercises that can be executed on the mat and transferred to different apparatus in order to alter the essence of the exercise.

Carmen is also highly versed in womens pelvic floor health, having been one of the first Canadian Yoga teachers certified. She is a certified Functional Movement Specialist through FRC and also has teaching in Fascial Movement and Total Barre. She is also an Occupational Therapist and mom of three.

Classes take place in Carmen's small home studio in beautiful St. Margaret's Bay, Nova Scotia . She also teaches at The Space : Pilates and Mindful Movement in Halifax, NS.
